A Bird's-Eye View of the Step-by-step Admission Process

We warmly welcome new children and their families to the DPS Deoghar community, where every child’s journey is cherished and every family becomes a meaningful part of our story.

Registration
Admissions for the 2026–27 academic session (Pre-Nursery to Grade VII) will commence with an online registration process available on our official website from December 1, 2025. Parents are encouraged to review the Prospectus and the Admission Information Booklet to understand the school's philosophy, values, and expectations before initiating registration. After completing the online form, please print it out. Attach recent passport sized colour photos of the child and both parents. Submit the printed form, required documents, and registration fee to the school office within 3 days of online submission.

Screening and Assessment
All complete applications will be carefully reviewed. For Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Preparatory, Class I, and Class II, admissions are granted based on an Observation cum Interaction session. We value the presence and participation of both parents during this stage and assure you there is no formal interview for these primary classes. For Classes III to VI, candidates will be invited for an age appropriate assessment and an interactive session designed to help us understand each child's abilities and potential in a warm, pressure free environment. Parents are requested to bring copies of the Admit Card on the date and time specified for their child's assessment. Upon arrival, please hand over the student's copy of the Admit Card to the designated session in charge before the assessment begins. The whole process usually takes about three to four hours. We suggest planning your day accordingly, so you and your child can move through each step comfortably and without hurry.

Assessment Syllabus
Kindly note that the admission assessment syllabus has been designed to be age appropriate and stress free for all applicants, carefully considering the cognitive capacities of each age and grade level. The syllabus will be provided at the time of issuing the admit card.
