The DPS Society

Eminent bureaucrat Shri V.K. Shunglu, who served as the Chairman of The DPS Society for nearly a decade, continues his journey of leadership as the Chairman of The DPS Society, effective from August 1, 2023. A distinguished former IAS officer, Mr. Shunglu rose to the prestigious position of Comptroller and Auditor General of India in 2002. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his exceptional administrative expertise and his valuable contributions to various government bodies and committees.

An alumnus of St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, Mr. Shunglu's illustrious career stands as a testament to his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering dedication to public service.

Known for his administrative acumen, he has held pivotal roles in major ministries and represented India in international organisations such as the IMF and the World Bank. He has also served as Chairman of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and was a Member of the Prime Minister's Council on Climate Change.

He has been associated with numerous high-level committees where his insights played a crucial role in shaping governance. One of his most notable contributions was as Chairman of the Shunglu Committee, constituted to examine alleged irregularities related to the Commonwealth Games held in Delhi in 2010.

A visionary leader whose name is synonymous with reform, Sir continues to play an indispensable role in strengthening the education foundation of DPS schools across the country.
